Stoke-on-Trent Theatres
in partnership with
Youth Dance
England and DanceXchange,
Birmingham, seek a dynamic dance animateur with established
project management skills to enable them to take on this new role
with confidence and vision. A total of six Youth Dance Contacts
(YDCs) are being recruited within the West Midlands as part
of
Youth Dance England’s
national strategy.
The role of the YDC will be to
ensure the aims and objectives of the national brief and YDE’s
national initiatives are achieved in Stoke-on-Trent and
Staffordshire in a way that is specific and relevant to the
development needs and strengths of this sub-region.
The YDC will work closely with
the Creative Learning Department at Stoke-on-Trent Theatres and
the venues’ Dance Artist in Residence programme.
The ideal candidate will have a
Dance/Arts degree, be highly literate, with excellent skills in
IT and negotiation, and the ability to work independently.
The post will be based at The Victoria Hall, Cultural
Quarter, Stoke-on-Trent
